Since 2015, IIiana has successfully led the implementation of the Human Resources strategy for the development of Lundin Gold ́s Fruta del Norte mine in Ecuador. She currently advances the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives under the Human Rights pillar of Lundin Gold ́s 5-year Sustainability Strategy. Since the Company ́s adhesion to the Women's Empowerment Principles (WEPs) she has championed various initiatives to further the Company ́s commitment to promoting gender equality in the workplace. As a founding member and current Vice President of Women in Mining, WIM - Ecuador, she actively promotes women's access to opportunities in the mining industry in Ecuador. Iliana has worked for more than 20 years with multicultural teams in leading companies in the chemical, oil and mining sectors in South America, North America, the Middle East and Africa. She has recognized expertise in the development and implementation of human resources systems and strategies, as well as in the nationalization of the workforce through innovative education and training programs that have been recognized by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she designed and led the implementation t of customized programs to proactively support employees ́ mental health and well-being.
