Cameron Stockman

Cameron has 10-years’ experience in product development, filtration and paste backfill plant engineering design and equipment sizing, plant commissioning and operations. To-date, he has been involved in the design, manufacture, installation and commissioning of various base/precious metal and iron ore filtration plants in LATAM, Africa and North America, with successful operations up to 7,500 tonnes per day throughput. Throughout 2017, Cameron led the construction and implementation of the first and only specialized tailings testwork facility in Western Canada, including capabilities for full stream characterization, dewatering (thickening and filtration), backfill strength, rheology, and friction loss for paste tailings (surface and underground) and “dry-stacking” operations design and scale-up. Cameron is currently the Western District VP of the Canadian Institute of Mining & Metallurgy National Executive. He also participates on the GMPA’s “Global Action on Tailings” initiative.
